Sixteen of the American company's twenty models were on show at Farmworld, with the range of ATVs and larger Side by Side vehicles praised by showgoers for their strength, build quality and list of functional features.
"The customers were pleased to see a new and quality brand attending the popular field day," commented Brand Manager Simon Gloyne. "There was great interest shown in the build quality of the ATV range and the unique features of our twin seat TRV models and our utility tilt tray 700TBX.
"Customers were impressed to see digital displays featuring fuel gauges on the full line up and were most impressed with the $7,990 price on our entry level 4WD model, the Arctic Cat 450 ATV." Gloyne added.
For the past decade, or even longer, the growth of the quad bike in the farming field has been notable. Now, the arrival of larger, more capable and more versatile Side by Side vehicles, like those offered by Arctic Cat, are supplanting the ATV as the farmer's workhorse, and are even performing tasks previously entrusted to larger tractors.
At Farmworld, Arctic Cat had three of their utility Side by Sides on display. Starting at $15,490, the Arctic Cat 550XT features 2WD/4WD with front differential lock, 10-inch double A-Arm independent wishbone suspension, 2-inch tow bar hitches on the front and rear (with a tow rating of 680kg), 14-inch alloy rims and a 275kg rated hydraulic tilt tray.
"The Arctic Cat 700 HDX side by side was probably the show stopper," Gloyne commented. "With all the standard Arctic Cat features, the 700 HDX Side by Side sets itself apart with a large 465kg load rated tilt tray, three-seater bench seat, extra storage and longer wheelbase for stability.
"The brand is only new here in Australia; [but] with over 50 years of manufacturing in the USA, Arctic Cat is a top 5 ATV and Side by Side brand in the States," Gloyne added.
"Arctic Cat Australia has invested heavily in the brand and is now concentrating on building a strong dealer network across Australia. For our Gippsland customers, Peter Stevens Motorcycles in Dandenong will be their initial dealership, however there are plans to expand the dealer network into the heart of Gippsland West, Central and East to offer convenient purchasing and servicing options." Gloyne concluded.
Arctic Cat Australia are seeking expressions of interest from dealerships interested in carrying the Arctic Cat brand. Enquiries should be directed to www.arcticcataustralia.com.au
