Heavy-duty Fuso hybrid truck

Debuting at the Tokyo Motor Show this month, the Super Great HEV long haul hybrid truck is based on the technology of the canter Eco Hybrid, featuring a diesel engine, electric motor/generator, lithium-ion battery and the latest control software. It uses a parallel hybrid system, with the truck powered either by the vehicle's electric motor, diesel engine, or both. The generator converts brake energy into electric energy and returns it to the lithium-ion battery.
