Hino reaches 150,000 Australian sales
As it celebrates its 60th year in Australia, Hino has reached another local milestone with the delivery of its 150,000th truck to the Aussie market. The landmark truck, a 500 Series FE Standard Cab with a Mini-Mix concrete agitator, was received by Flintstones, a Victoria-based building and garden material supplier.

Along with the 150,000th milestone truck, which was delivered by Bendigo Hino, Flintstones received a commemorative plaque, presented by Richard Emery, President and CEO of Hino Australia.
“Hino Australia is honoured to have been the truck of choice for Flintstones for over four decades," Emery said.
“It is phenomenal to think that we have been supplying trucks to Flintstones for over forty of the sixty years we have been operating in Australia
“It is a tribute to the quality, durability and reliability for which Hino trucks are renowned, and we look forward to the relationship continuing for many years to come,” he concluded.

A subsidiary of Barro Group (a leading independent supplier and distributor of premixed concrete, quarry products and associated products), Flintstones is family-owned and operates a fleet of 45 Hino trucks, covering a mix of tilt trays, agitator and tipper bodies.
“Our tippers transport between 2 to 14 cubic metres of raw materials, such as crushed rock, sand, soil and mulch, while our Mini-Mix concrete agitators carry between 0.4 and 3 cubic metres of premixed concrete,” said Dominic Barro, General Manager of Flintstones Building & Garden Supplies.
“We use our tilt trays, including crane tray trucks, for delivery of concreting supplies such as reinforcing mesh.
“Hino has always been our preferred supplier of small and medium sized trucks. In our business, it is essential that we have a robust, reliable truck that is safe and simple to operate, and Hino has proven this for over four decades.”
