Toyota Tundra and New Age caravan to be won in 2025 NTI raffle
Since 2017, National Transport Insurance (NTI) has annually raffled off a special truck to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research. This year is no exception, but in a twist, not only will this year’s prize be a new vehicle (instead of a restored and modified classic truck), it’ll be joined by a caravan for the ultimate go anywhere getaway package.

The winner of this year’s NTI MND research raffle will receive a brand-new Toyota Tundra full-size pickup truck, plus a New Age Manta Ray 19ft caravan. The last time NTI offered a new vehicle was in 2022, in the form of an Isuzu NPS four-wheel drive ‘expedition truck’ with slide-off camper body.
“When deciding what vehicle to make the 2025 MND raffle prize, we thought ‘why not mix it up again?’ offering a turnkey for off-road holidays and adventuring. For the first time, the raffle prize will feature two vehicles – a pick-up and a caravan,” NTI CEO, Tony Clark, explained.
NTI’s annual raffles to help find treatment options for MND were inspired by former CEO, Wayne Patterson, who lost his battle with the disease in 2018.

Each year, the NTI raffle truck has been given a name. In 2024, the custom 1946 Ford dual cab was called ‘Bonnie’. The striking ’54 Chevy cabover from 2023 was ‘Daphne,’ while the Isuzu camper from 2022 was ‘Eddy’. This year, the Toyota Tundra to be given away carries the name of ‘Dusty’.
“The Toyota Tundra is the most powerful Toyota ever sold in Australia, and while ‘Dusty’ has exceptional off-road capability, the vehicle doesn’t compromise on comfort, including a 14-inch multimedia display that connects with both Apple and Android devices, wireless phone charging and dual-zone climate control,” Clark added.
“Dusty’s also incredibly safe, with Toyota’s Safety Sense technology that includes a pre-collision safety system that detects both pedestrians and cyclists, active cruise control and lane departure alert with steering assist.”

Powered by 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol-hybrid drivetrain producing up to 326kW and 790Nm (290kW and 649Nm ICE only), the Tundra features a 10-speed sports automatic transmission and part-time four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case and selectable driving modes. Twenty-inch alloys, four-wheel disc brakes, a power tailgate, LED head and tail lights, a tow bar and trailer socket are all standard.
Inside, there’s seating for five with leather-look trim, power front seats with electric lumbar adjustment, a 12-speaker sound system, multi-function central touchscreen, sat nav, multi-function steering wheel, power windows and a digital instrument display.

Safety features include eight airbags, ABS, ESC, EBD, Traction Control and a long list of active tech, like Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist, Front and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Sensor and more.
The Tundra’s tub measures 1,666mm long x 1,491mm wide (1,237mm between the wheelarches) x 531mm high, with a payload rating of 744kg. Braked towing capacity is a massive 4,500kg – more than enough to haul the Manta Ray ‘Couples Expedition’ caravan.

The New Age Manta Ray is a 2025 model, measuring 19 feet and described as a real home on wheels.
“An ensuite with toilet and internal shower, reverse cycle air conditioning, upgraded leatherette upholstery and a queen-size bed help to make it a dream holiday van,” Clark said.
“There’s no limit to the locations you can explore; with a 7-inch Bluetooth Display, 3000W Inverter/180Amp Charger, 30Amp DC/DC Charger, and 4 x 200W solar panels to help keep all your appliances powered.”

Valued at a combined $285,000, the Tundra and the New Age caravan were sourced with the assistance of Toyota and Walkinshaw Automotive Group. Both vehicles come with manufacturer’s warranty, registration, 12 months’ insurance and delivery to a valid entry state for the winner.
