Workbench Warehouse have been manufacturing high-quality, Australian-made workbenches since 2007, with a range that’s always evolving and expanding – currently offering 25 different workbench and 9 different workstation configurations.
Based in Melbourne, Workbench Warehouse have customers Australia-wide, from major mining operations to civil engineering companies, laboratories, government works departments and specialists in performance automotive engineering, to name a few. Workbench Warehouse have also supplied workbench solutions to race teams in the Repco Supercars Championship.
While Workbench Warehouse products are made to a professional standard, they’re not just for professional use, with pricing that’s affordable to DIY enthusiasts and home mechanics.

Key Features
- Australian-made
- Heavy-duty welded steel construction
- Durable stainless-steel tops
- Built-in mounts for a vice
- Adjustable feet, wheels optional
- Seven colour options
What sets a bench or workstation from Workbench Warehouse apart from the competition is the sturdy construction. Workbench Warehouse use thicker gauge steel than their competitors, along with high-quality stainless-steel tops. Each unit is also welded together, not bolted, so it’s built to last.
That sturdy construction means the standard 3mm benchtops can safely hold up to 1,500kg. However, they can produce benchtops up to 20mm thick and beyond.
Available drawers on ball-bearing runners are capable of holding 125kg per drawer, while doors are lockable. To suit uneven floors, adjustable self-levelling feet are standard, with heavy-duty swivelling castor wheels optional if you need a workbench with mobility.
Vice mounting plates are fitted under each corner of the benchtop, providing flexibility when adding a vice or grinder (that Workbench Warehouse also supply). Finally, each unit is professionally painted, using 2-pac paint, in a choice of seven colours – Black, Dark Blue, Medium Blue, Grey, Orange, Red or Yellow.
All units are made in Melbourne, using Australian steel and Australian-made parts, including castors, which Workbench Warehouse now source from a local supplier.

Workbench Warehouse understand that different businesses have different needs, often dictated by the walls, beams and pillars on site. If what’s in the standard range doesn’t fit your workspace, then Workbench Warehouse can custom-build a workbench solution.
Along with a variety of widths, depths and heights, provision to use these benches in a sitting position can also be accommodated, plus individual preference when it comes to placement of drawers and cabinets. For ultimate convenience, workstations can be pre-wired with power outlets, too.
Finally, if the standard colour range isn’t to your liking, or a specific company livery is required, Workbench Warehouse can finish your workbench or workstation in any colour you like.
Workbench Warehouse have accommodated all kinds of unusual requests in the past, like supplying a space station’s terrestrial operations and even building a unit for a submarine, so if you have a specific need, they can deliver it!
