Seller's Description
1927 Graham Brothers Dodge Mopar Truck 1 Tonne Gboy Unfinished Project, in lots of pieces! Sitting in my garage, not being worked on! We both work full time in pretty demanding jobs, and also with young kids, and other challenges going on. Bit of more than I can chew. Has all the parts to complete the project. Engine (and gearbox) is the original side valve Fast Four 175.4 ci which was rebuilt prior to my purchase of the unfinished project. I have included pics of other examples of whole trucks, but they are not the actual truck. Restoration had already been started before I purchased the truck. The work that has been done is: -Blasted and painted Chassis. -New Cab that was replicated from the original. The previous owner had the original cab to copy off, and he did the work with a cabinet maker friend. Extras that I have sourced: -Spare Radiator Surround -1928 Dodge Brothers Front End. I was going to make hydraulic front drums AND the pissy mechanicals for the rear. The original had Mechanical drums for the rear only and no brakes at all for the front! Was talking to an elderly bloke and he said they were a bugger to stop. -Plenty of photos of original and restored Graham Brothers Trucks, inside of cab and outside of truck. It is nearly identical to the 1928 Dodge Brothers Truck (as they made parts for the Dodge Brothers, and had a business partnership which allowed them to market a commercial vehicle range.) This is a restored example or you can google Graham Brothers Truck For Sale to see one that sold at Shannons a couple of years ago: http://www.shannons.com.au/auctions/lot/YZB8AF3WV1AC4535/ Truck Located at Taree NSW I can give quotes and arrange for reasonably priced transport of the whole project. Pick up and payment must be within 6 weeks of a deposit, as I need to clear my garage. Check out my other listing of a 1928 2.5 Tonne Long Wheel Base Dodge Brothers - Project. It is also parts complete with original rebuilt rolling chassis and is pretty much the same as the 27 Graham except for the doors instead of the C opening. If you bought both, it will pack on the carriers as one truck space, as the Gboy is in more pieces (not a rolling chassis). I would say that of the two, the Gboy would need more restoration. The rolling chassis on the Dodge with the new wheels, was a big expense and a lot of work.
