Just arrived -This 1956 Morris Commercial LC5 Truck is a wonderful little outfit, perfect for those looking for a classic truck. The LC5 is driven by a 2.2L 4-cylinder petrol engine and paired to a 4-speed 'crashbox' manual transmission. The truck has garnered considerable attention over the years, with its engine being overhauled in 1999. This included boring, honing, and machining of the engine block, block face, cylinder head face, valve seats, face valves, crankshaft, and crankshaft journals. New oversized pistons, rings, gudgeon pins, conrod bearings and mains bearings were also fitted. The LC5 has received more upgrades since, including an electronic ignition, electronic fuel pump, electronic distributor, a Holden Stomberg carburettor and air cleaner, an upsized battery, and the entire electrical system has been converted to a negative earth. The diff and clutch have also seen attention, along with several other pieces (full list available upon enquiry). The LC5 is equipped with two toolboxes, a tow bar, its own set of straps, and a payload of 1460kg, so it is ready to get to work. This truck is an older restoration and presents with some patina and aging both inside and out, which is reflected in the price. As it is, the truck can be comfortably driven and used to haul, and with a gross mass of 3310kg, the LC5 can be driven on a car license. It comes with several manuals, parts lists, a driver's handbook, and is eligible for historic registration.
